Guest guest
I think that some people are confusing preservatives with microbiobial protection. Many things will act as preservatives and the parabens are an example, however, they do not provide microbiobial protection from the nasty germs (gram negative and gram positive bacteria can reproduce, especially in a water based product. RE: Germaben products They are produced by International Specialty Products 800-505-8984. Ula . They will be glad to explain and send additional information. Be aware that you can go to the Register and check other publications in the industry for additional companies that produce and sell preservatives of this same nature. When speaking to suppliers of GSE the question to ask is will it protect against gram positive and negative bacteria's and will their insurance company back that in the event of a damage claim against your company. Educate, educate educate, do not take one persons opinion, call these manufacturers, talk with their sales people and then ask to speak with the chemists regarding your specific application of the product. Ask for a msds sheet on the product......the more you research the more you will be able to determine what is best suited to your specific needs. I am not endorsing any specific manufacturer nor do I have a vested interest is such. I am invested in producing the safest product I can with the least amount of chemicals but priority for me is insuring the I DO NO HARM to another individual. The KEY is we are responsible for our products even after the customer has used the product, it does not matter if they use it correctly or not, the liability is still ours. You cannot depend on a customer to use anything correctly. Check many product warning labels ---they defy common sense..an example is toothbrushes -do not use excessive force on gums as it will cause abrasion.....curling irons - will cause burns when applied to skin..,..remember these labels came out of claims for damages. GO Figure! Just my 2 cents worth Pam
