Guest guest
Dear Aliza, Besides kicking CML in the butt, you are good at giving advice. Whenever you are in doubt, ask your druggist and they will find out for you. When I went to get into the Sprycel trial, we couldn't eat 2 hrs. before and after and had to do that twice a day. I used to get up at 3:00 a.m. and take it and go back to bed because someone else I knew was doing that and I am wondering if that was the right thing to do. I had GERD before CML, that's how I was diagnosed. Went to the hospital for GERD and ended up with CML. Gleevec is known for it's gastric problems. My doctor is giving me something to bind the bile to keep it from harming my stomach and intestines. Colisted- its good for diarrhea, too. I remember the doctor giving it to me when I first started Gleevec. I had other drugs to take for my heart, GERD and thyroids that I had to be fasting, so the doctor at MDACC told me to go talk to a druggist. the closest one to our apartment was Kroger's and I went there and asked the druggist and showed her my list of pills and she told me a schedule I could follow. That's my other 2 cents for the day (night) wherever you happen to be. Count your blessings every day, Aliza, Lottie
Guest guest
thankx lottie I feel this way like I said b4, god created the body to deffent itself from death when you have multiple problems and to top it off cml you can't afford to not be proactive in all you do, this is our new job to survive as long as we have to take pills that are toxic we must learn to detox , nourish, and creat easy ways for our bodies to handle the damage sickness and medications do. I just puchased a distiller I filter the water first and then distill it for drinking and cooking however you must take mineral suplements to replace the lost minerals in water i'm largely vegeterian ecxept for fish and chicken (organic) best to eat less amounts of good food than large amounts of junk.vitamins and weekly vegetable juice for detox. wow sounds like a lot huh? these are my weapons to kick the bug in the pants.
