Guest guest
This just out of my new soapbook: 203 grams sodium hydroxide (thanks for the calculations of grams to ounces, btw:) 1 pound 3 ounce distilled water 10 oun hemp seed oil 6 ounces olive oil 1 pound coconut oil 1 pound 3 ounces palm oil 25 grams grapefruit seed extract 7tsp e/o Author says " It is an unstable oil, unfortunately only the strongest synthetic preservatives seem to protect large quantities of hemp seed oil, thus the doubling of gso. " Though hemp seed oil can be a little stubborn about saponifying, it does just fine in almost any formula. To ensure a hard bar, and to delay rancidity, incorporate saturated fats and oils into a hemp seed oil formula. " Hope that helps. There's more on storage etc in this book. Barb J > I have just been approached by our local " Hemporium " to make them > hemp soap. Here is my problem. I know nothing about what type of > soap this makes. Is it a hard bar, soft bar, does it need coconut > oil, should i cut it with olive oil? Lots of questions. Any advice > at all is appreciated. Thanks in advance. > in Golden, BC > > > __________________________________________________________ > Get your FREE personalized e-mail at http://www.canada.com > >
