Program Officer PATH, a prominent international development organization, is looking for a dynamic and highly organized professional to work with PATH's Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI) to accelerate the development of promising malaria vaccines and ensure their availability and accessibility in the developing world. MVI works to link government, industry and academia partners with field trial sites in malaria endemic countries as early as feasible in the development process. The position will manage a malaria academia-biotechnology vaccine development collaborative project in India. Working closely with partners to design and implement systems for oversight and scheduling, performance and forecasting of vaccine manufacturing and testing, s/he will manage project as per milestones and deliverables. The post holder will implement strong project management processes, provide technical assistance where appropriate, establish and nurture strategic relationships with governmental and private sector partners, and serve as a key focal point managing inputs and achieving consensus amongst a wide variety of national and international project stakeholders. The position will work closely with MVI team members in Australia and USA and interact with designated clinical trial site for phase I trial initiation. Based in New Delhi, the successful candidate will have a master's degree in Biotechnology or the equivalent in a related discipline with extensive experience in the field of vaccine development within pharmaceutical industry. Project management experience for complex vaccine development efforts including public- private partnerships is highly desirable. Strong communication and representation skills with very good English writing skills are a must. Remuneration will be highly competitive with an attractive benefits package.
