Guest guest
Hi Sue, I don't know if you are still gathering messages for 's funeral or not, but I tried to send something to the funeral home this morning, through their website, but apparently the message did not go through. (It's my computer - I can send e-mails from some sites and not others, and my DH has not had the time to figure out where the problem is!) Anyway, I just got on the computer again a few minutes ago, and my message is still not posted, so I assume it did not go through. Can I send it to you to forward on? It's not very eloquent as my brain is very fried, but I did want to write something. His death is haunting to me as I have deteriorated so fast and so far this year. Anyway, if it is at all possible to pass it on, that'd be great. If not, at least I tried. Donna in NC was a beacon of light in the often times rather dark world of CFIDS, a disease which turns one's world inside out while ravaging the body from within. 's great mind and steadfast determination never let him give up on finding the cause for this disease, while continuously trying to " connect the dots " as he would say, that would or could tie the various CFIDS researchers' works together into working theories with practical implications that might be useful for all of us with CFIDS/FMS. His enthusiasm was contagious, especially for us long term sufferers, and he will truly be missed. My greatest consolation is that he is at peace now. Guest guest
I'm so sorry that the webcast didn't work. and I tested at home, but then gave the info and link to brian and brian c. C. was there this morning and I thought it was working...I guess it wasn't. He taped his bird and john thinks that became the main video for that link...or something like that. it's so upsetting since everyone worked so hard to get that going...and brian had such a great idea. anyway...I'm really sorry...we put a lot of work into finding that and getting it working. I hope you all can forgive us. I don't think it was taped. I'll tell you a little bit about it... A LOT of people came to the visitation...it was hard to see people I knew...I just couldn't stop the tears. There were many posters of pictures and the girls (wynn and paige) each made their own poster for beck. I made one with all of you and your comments. (brian's new wife) organized the other posters and books of beck's work. (poetry etc) Everything had beautiful butterflies. A few of beck's paintings were hung on the walls. there was a tv playing music and showing pictures throughout her life. Lots of beautiful flowers...her casket is purple with a painter's palette embroidered inside. On her casket was an amazing purple flower arrangement...looked like a cascade arrangement. I picked one of her favorite outfits...a deep purple dress shirt, and black flowing pants (hard to describe and I'm too tired to think)...and she wore the flower pin in her hair just like she did in the pics we just took. They put penny's and cleo's ashes in with her...and my daughter paige put a card and teddy bear in with her. At 5pm, music began...tears in heaven by eric clapton--that was difficult for me... instant tears. spoke during the service and did a great job...telling stories that were funny and sad...it was really a nice service. Uncle john spoke and of course the famous Phil spoke. (the newspaper writer she had a crush on and was very close to for the past 10 years) I just couldn't do it...I wanted to, but I have such a hard time when I'm that emotional...nobody would have been able to understand me. There were two other songs...I can't remember the names and artists. (I'm so bad with names and artists...maybe the cranberries?) tomorrow is the burial and funeral in beaver dam. thanks everyone, and again, I'm sorry the webcast didn't work, tj

Guest guest
All I saw was the birdcage too and I checked in every half hour. Regardless, I am sure the family and friends who were able to attend saw everything just fine. Angie On Sunday 29 October 2006 21:14, wrote: > Did anybody get to see the life broadcast? Guest guest
Dear Group, I am as shocked as anyone of your to hear about 's untimely death. You can leave a message of condolences at the funeral home. Click on West Chapel and her name will appear. There are very few names who have posted and it would be a small consolation to the family if we responded to her death as she responded to us in life. We had a regular correspondence and I found her to be truly compasionate in reaching out to everyone. Blessings, Lottie
