Guest guest
Carey- Welcome to the group. You now have a great line of communication that you can use day or night to come to, to vent, complain, ask questions, get support or simply write our your thoughts. You will find that this is a wonderful way to realize that their are a lot of people out there walking in the same shoes and lots of them have been doing it for many, many years. This cancer is not a death sentence although it turns your world upside down. It does get better. CML will make your life more meaningful and you will be given a new appreciation of the world and your friends and family. Take it all in. Get educated and listen to your body. Keep a positive attitude! Those are my most important things to pass on. I was 33 with 3 small children and in the best shape of my life. I couldn't believe when they said cancer....Leukemia. I thought they were crazy. It gets better and I appreciate all I have including the cancer. I have learned so much about myself and my family and have made some great friends along the way. Keep in touch and best of Luck on Gleevec.
