Guest guest
I tried making a batch of bath cookies last night (1 cup epson salt, 1 cup sea salt, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup cornstarch, 2 T sunflower oil, about 12 drops of essential oil, 2 eggs). They baked up beautifully, and smelled great (my daughter even wandered into the kitchen, thinking I was baking " real " cookies)! But... when I tested them in the bath, they dissolved yet left little " floaties " . The bath water clouded, which I expected, but there were tiny little pieces floating on top of the water. If you " caught them " in your hand, the would immediately dissolve when rubbed into your palm, but it wasn't very appealing, and not something I'd care to soak in at the end of the day. Would anyone else have experience with this, or know how to solve it? Thanks much! from NJ
Guest guest
Seems like it would be the eggs...kinda like taking a bath in egg drop soup! Cuz that recipe minus the eggs is kinda like a combo of bath salts/bombs (minus the citric acid with the addition of eggs) and that normally doesn't leave floaters. I bet the eggs are the culprit! cindi kre8tv4Him@... wrote: > > I tried making a batch of bath cookies last night (1 cup epson salt, 1 cup sea salt, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup cornstarch, 2 T sunflower oil, about 12 drops of essential oil, 2 eggs). Like double the oil to 4T and see how the mix feels. Should work much better. I am not wild about the cornstarch as I think the cookies are a bit hard to crumble. Use solar salt (the size of rock salt) if you want a different look. Guest guest
Is solar salt the same as the salt put in water softeners.
