Guest guest
Dear Carey, Welcome to the group, but sorry it was necessary to seek out a support group. I know you will find many willing to share their experiences with you. It's not as scary as you thought when you were diagnosed. I am nearly a 12 year survivor, been on 5 trials and taken 7 different drugs. Good for you that you have responded so quickly to Gleevec. Some are slower than others, but you are not one of these, having already climbed up to CCR in 2 months? Very few of us have escaped (I know of none) side effects from any of the CML drugs. Your doctor may want to increase your dosage in order to bring you to the next level, which is to your benefit. The faster you reach Molecular Remission , the better off you will be as far as relapses go. I hope you will be able to continue, some of us have a lot of fatigue, but many are still working. We have one member who is about 70 and still works a few days a week for a doctor. If you are going to get sick, you might as well work for a doctor, I always say. LOL. We are here for you, there is always someone who will have had a similiar experience to yours that you can relate to. Do keep the group posted as to your progress. Blessings, Lottie
