Manipur. ARV Medication out of stock

Dear forum,

We're still in the chaos of running out of Efavirenz and again one

of the NNRTI i.e. Neviripine is also run out of stock in the state

of Manipur. What is happening out here? We are very much confused

whether it is the failure of supply mechanism or whatever it is?

This is not the right way.

I think the concerned authorities are not taking seriuos of the

emerging issues.

2 days back one of the old lady came to our office late in the

evening and she informed us that when she went to collect her grand-

daughter's slots for ARVs. The centre informed her that Neviripine

was out of stock and she had to buy herself. Actually she hasn't any

source of income. So our President, Deepak Singh gave her Rs.250/-

just to buy the dose for the one month as he is also on ART for the

last one year and he is also had a family to look after. The

question is how long he can support?
