Guest guest
Dear Aliza, What an unusual name, I think it is so quaint. You probably get a lot of comments on it. I never liked my name. Yes, in answer to your questions, I do recommend that you take the flu shots every year, and even though it is a bit late, it's not too late for anyone who hasn't already haven't had it. This is according to what I read in the paper last week. Always check with your doctor. You may not like what he tells you, but you can always get a second opinion. You should also be immunized against pneumonia every 5 years. I used to get allery shots, too - until I got too old and they said they would longer help me. A word of caution on taking the shingles shots. There have been warnings issued against CML patients taking the shingles vaccine. I had a very slight case of shingles just before going on Gleevec. Does anyone know if you can get shingles twice, or you immune after the first time? Yes, I drink decaf coffee every morning. Personally, I like flavored coffees, but they usually come in caffeine only. Caffeine keeps me awake all night, especially eating solid chocolate, it's like taking a double dose of prednisone and my heart pounds in my throat. I could buy the liquid flavors, but my husband doesn't like that. He likes it so strong, it grows hair on your chest. Prednisone also makes me feels wired and when on a high dose, I might as well just stay up all night. I think Bobby gets the same feeling. Many blessings Aliza, Lottie
