Guest guest
i have two ways i make soap on a rope. one i use m & p soap the one that has cocoanut in it. i buy nice looking cord. i got mine at walmart in their trim section. cut cord 12 to 15 inches and double make a slip not with cord and coat end with white glue to prevent raveling. i use all sorts of mold, the largeer the better i like life of the party and soap sensations and iam going to order molds from www.allegany.com they have ahuge selection of molds. iam using a large sunflower, moon, foot ball, rose mold right now. to make melt soap ,let cool a little add scent and color and pour part of it in mold. let it set up a little then push rope into soap melt rest let cool and pour into mold and let set up. 2nd methof i make a soap out of grated ivory and oatmeal ; 1/2 cup oatmeal,1/2 cup grated soap,1 to 2 tablespoons of vegable oil i use sunflower,1 to 2 tablespoons of water, scent of choice, i add cinnamon or lavender or rosemary, and food coloring add all in gredients and mix with hands, make sure oatmeal is finely ground and soap is well grated. i make balls out of this or push into basic shape molds such as a round, oval or square mold. i then use finger to make a depression in top, push cord deep into soap and squish to gether. let harden for 24 hours and then wrap in suran wrap and place in cello bag and tie with raffia or ribbon. Guest guest
Yes Cheryl, I remember them. I gave mine to someone that would use it. No sense making one at a time.
