Guest guest
Hey, I checked into the Files to see what you've got there regarding menopause. I've done sage tea, but never thought about adding motherwort, and I already take dong quai caps. The sage tea I made worked extraordinarily well for years, and then it just quit on me. <sob> But my dentist's wife said she'd been using magnesium for the hot flashes, and found it very helpful. She said 500 mg, but my multi vitamin already has 100mg, so I got some 400mg caps, and have been taking them for a couple months. It's definitely made a difference, but then, the season is changing, and we no longer have triple digit temps! It's a thought if anyone out there is having similar difficulties with whatever they've been using becoming less effective. My sister-in-law had her doctor make up soy capsules, and they worked really well. Until they quit... Meanwhile, I expect to emerge from the Twilight Zone of menopause very soon. (or, you might read about some daft woman in New Mexico finding an Uzi and a tower...) %D Ev

Guest guest
I used an herbal combo for about a year after my hysterectomy and then eased off them. I don’t have any problems related to menopause except for a rare and very mild flash. When they do come around, have a spray bottle nearby and just mist your face with it, combined with a little artificial breeze (fan) it makes instant air conditioning. I still love my fan right by my side of the bed, just for the noise. A body can and does get used to an herb after a while and then it will have no effect. I suggest you switch to another herb all together if the one you are taking no longer works. Always ease off of them when you can, that way there is no rebound either.
