Nettle is good for gout, too…and I

would imagine other inflammatory diseases.

Nettle leaves make a tea used for anemia and blood purification, and an

expectorant for clogged lungs, and a diuretic for kidneys, diarrhea, dysentery,

piles, and hemorrhoids. Rich in iron, potassium and silicon, nettles combined

with comfrey, mullein, or horehound can be used for asthma.

I also use Nettles for my allergies and hayfever - drink nettles tea daily during times when people are cutting hay nearby or the cottonwoods are flying and don't have near the bad symptoms - is best if grown locally.

I'm still having a hard time reconciling the words " nettle " and " tea " .

It just seems so foreign to me to make tea from nettles.

I sure could have used it back in CA during haying season. Out here in

CO, though, our allergies are almost nil now.

Peace, love, laughter

Is this better than milk thistle? I know someone - well, a few

someones, actually - who are dealing with Hep C, and the allopathic

route is kicking their fannies. They might be open to suggestions

from me.

For myself, I am in the process of checking the cinnamon/cholesterol

theory...(I'd know even sooner if I had been taking the amount I

MEANT to take)!!

Evie, Can't say whether it is better or not as what works for one may or may not work the same for another... If milk thistle doesn't work then try dandelion root.. OR try them together as a combo. Suzi __________________________________________________

Still - it's good to remember that there is more than one option for

most conditions.

I'm happy to pass along the suggestion, in any case.

Best herb for Hep C is milk thistle, they

would need to check with a naturopath or integrated medicine doc first though

if they are taking allopathic treatments too.
