Guest guest
Hi, group, Regarding this recipe for the oatmeal facial scrub, I would like to know how much of a shelf life does it have without the liquid ingredients added to it? Thanks.... Bridget

Guest guest
Hi Janice, Rosemary Gladstar has a " MIRACLE GRAINS " in her book " Herbal Healing for Women " 1cup finely ground oats 2cups white clay 1/4 c finely ground almonds 1/8 cup finely ground lavender 1/8 c finely ground roses lavender, epppermint, orange pur essential oils (optional) I have extremely sensitive skin and either didn't grind things enough or it was simply too harsh for my skin. I've since added powdered milk and powdered honey. Sometimes I use yogurt instead of water to make it into a paste. Enjoy. Guest guest
The book doesn't have an exact shelf life. But I would think the dry incredients only would be the same as your other oatmeal. Sealed well, I would think a year. Guest guest
This is really a great recipe..your face will feel soft as a baby's bottom! i have used it.. but.. if you have problems with broken capillaries.. in your cheeks... i would not use this. Since this recipe helps with circulation.. it causes more to break. hth debra JMatt41435@... wrote: > > 1/4 cup finely ground oatmeal > 1/4 cup finely ground almonds -- Debra Wills http://www.poozartangels.com Pottery & Soap
Guest guest
Another suggestion when using any of these facial scrubs is that if you find they are too rough for your skin, put a tsp or so in a washcloth, wrap it up, run it under water for a bit and use the washcloth on your face. Empty the contents once you are done.
