Guest guest
Sorry Gillian...I don't know what the poll is...is it regarding location? Or is there something I missed before I started here a few weeks ago? Thanks!
Guest guest
First you have to remember your password. I didn't. Had to request it. Got the authorization to change it instead. Did that. Finally ready to go. Next time you set up a poll, please have all the questions on one page! Having to go back and forth and start again for each question may have put a lot of people off. I have a very slow computer and this thing too for-ev-er! But the questions were great. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Am sorry to repeat myself, but why not just hilight it and let us click on it to bring it up and respond to the poll. The response would be much better, I think. Betty in VA Moderator: I just sent an email with a link. We'll see if it works. If it doesn't, I think a copying and pasting lesson might be in order. Honestly, it would take all of 15 seconds to just cut and paste the URL into your browser, and that's with taking a short nap between cutting AND pasting! :-) PHDRWD@... Guest guest
I suspect that maybe nobody envisioned, or maybe would have allowed this, but there is at least one good reason to have the poll questions set up as they are, each on an individual page. The members of the group can log in, and set up their own polls as individual questions this way. I have added one question to the list. I did so independently, without permission. I think that this is a good thing. Others may not, and I can certainly see that it might be abused. But that's how it stands right now, anyway. I suppose that sooner or later somebody may abuse the privilege. happy trails - Rob Glover
Guest guest
Ok - I'm a lazy AOL internet user too - but instead of a link, you can always highlight a web address, right click on it, click copy, go to your web address line and click paste (it's not so hard!) Then you don't have to worry about whether it's blue or purple

Guest guest
Lyn: My son is 6 years old. He weighs 70 lbs. I am doing every 4 hours - 70mg DMSA only. Doing night doses using DMSO as a carrier for transdermal application. Schedule 3 on / 4 off No negative side-effects. Many positives reported from school by 4th round including increased speech, clearer speech, awareness of others, etc. At home, we are noticing increased awareness and interaction with family. Now on 5th round. Using minerals (Citramin II - 1X day), zinc and Vit C. No monitoring tests ordered yet.
Guest guest
Dear Listmates, As many of you know, Dr. Rimland is holding a small meeting to discuss the safest and most effective treatment for mercury poisoning in autistic children. Dr. McGinnis has asked me to poll the list concerning what protocols and methods of treatment the parents have felt were most effective. I have put together a few questions below. Please feel free to add in any additional information that you think would be beneficial. You can send your responses to my email address autism treatment@... I will put all the information together and re-post the report to the list. Please try to get this to me in the next 2 weeks. I will also post a report after the meeting concerning the response. Again, thanks so much to everyone who participates on this list and gives so freely of their time and knowledge to help other parents. You guys are great!!! Lyn What are you currently using as a chelating agent? Chemet, DMSA, (compounded , long acting or with ALA) Captomer, DMPS, IV Vita C, Alpha Lipoic Acid, nutritional products, supplements, foods. What chelating schedule are you following (ie Hours between doses and days between chelating)? What dose of chelators are you giving your child and is it based on their weight? What has been your childs response to chelation; good, bad or indifferent? Have you been following chelation treatment with urine, stool or hair analysis for metals. If so, are you seeing metals being excreted? What have you found to be the most beneficial chelator or schedule for chelation, if you have tried more than one? Any additional information that you think may be helpful. We are also wanting to put together a list of physicians who we can refer parents to for the evaluation and treatment of metal toxicity. Would you recommend your physician? If so, please check with them to see if it is ok to include their name and address. Thanks again, Lyn Redwood

I've tried pillows and I even invested in an electric bed and nothing worked and without sleep one cannot get anything under control and nobody would want to be around me either. :>) Good luck on lyour poll. Guest guest
I sleep in any position you can name - back, either side, stomach - even sitting up in a chair - luckily, sleep is never a problem for me, which makes me really abnormal for this group - it's sort of my way of dealing with pain. If I'm asleep, I don't feel the pain - Now can someone tell me a way to stay AWAKE??? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ,

Guest guest
Lucky you , I work night shift from Mon to Thur nights and can only get a good solid 4 hours sleep at the most during the day then Im tossing and turning trying to get comfortable or just get fed up and get out of bed. On my nights off I wake about 3am for the toilet and then do the same thing toss and turn till I get up. Ive learnt to survive on not much sleep! Im stiff for a while after getting up until I move around for a while and loosen up. I wake up with the dry eyes thing too which is another problem....ha you should see me trying to get to the toilet in the middle of the night with my eyes shut! Oh well! Guest guest
Janet, I'm not going to argue with 20 years of successful usage, and in fact I've taken Halcion myself - it seemed perfectly Ok to me, but I've since switched to Ambien. There was quite a bit of controversy over Halcion a few years ago and the FDA went ahead and kept it on the approved list as you can see from the article at: http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/ANSWERS/ANS00410.html Nevertheless, you might also want to read this one of the possible dangers, at: http://www.injustice.org/nemo/newsfile/nk910819.html Regards, -- Ron > > Halcian is wonderful to get the sleep you need.
