One of my fabulous midwives did it for me and delivered the caps to me the day after the birth. I think she did it in her oven with very very low heat. I know mothers eat their placenta in many traditional cultures to " build the blood " . I just wasn't willing to eat it in a recognizable form. It is a beautiful organ, though (it's an organ, right???) I'll bet Mike would eat it raw if I express mailed it to him on ice....ahhh....next time, I suppose. Hope your curiosity has been satisfied! Kind of like a detox.
