Thanx Judith! I was just at my sister's house yesterday and the family got

into a big discussion on statins and other drugs. We talked until 2 in the

morning even though Bob and I had a 2 1/2 hour drive home. Now one of my

in-laws emailed me this AM asking for more info! YEAH!!!

This is perfect timing. I have read this before, but will email him the link

and print it out for Bob. Bob is (finally) stopping statins tomorrow. Using

kombucha and other natural methods, he has cut his cholesterol to a level

that is acceptable to his doctor. He cut the dosage in half without

consulting dr and now he is cutting it altogether and starting policosanol.

His dr says he whatever he is doing is working. His dr also pooh-poohed the

side effects of statins that Bob is showing. Said CoQ10 had no effect on the

body and other supplements were not worth the effort to take.

He's got the party line down pat hasn't he?

I've know for years that when mainstream news starts promoting the idea

that specific nutrients are "dangerous" that that is a sign that they

work, and are threatening the bottom line of Pig Pharma. (And no,

that's not a typo.)

hi! my father was taking statins before when i read the publication of the Journal of the American Doctor Asn. January 3, 1996: statins are known to cause cancer, liver damage and severe side effects and should be avoided whenever possible. Now, my father is only maintaining sodium ascorbate. the effect of the stroke has vanish. the cholecterole has turn to normal level and can eat the kind of foods he wants to. Refer to the book or website of Dr. Matthias Rath.
