Guest guest
Ok, I've heard of some cases with people with FMS... did not know you have... sorry, I should have jumped in... but been busy with xmas, planning a 90th birthday party (my dad) goats, grandkids, and other things... Seems like I'm hardly ever home lately. Suziearthmother1111 <pink627@...> wrote: I'm postmenopausal but still have hot flashes if I don't take theherbal combo that I'm on. I just recently came across someinformation that it could be related to FMS which I have and lately Ihad a flare-up of symptoms. I probably need to get more exercise toget the circulation going. It doesn't happen too frequently so won'tworry too much. Thanks for your suggestion, anyway. Suzi List Owner health/ http://360./suziesgoats What is a weed? Guest guest
A lot of people with FMS and CFS have anxiety issues. They think (and I agree) it is in part due to the sleep deprivation we get with these disorders. What I finally did is create a bedtime routine for myself. Regular exercise helps a lot too, as long as it is not too rigorous or high-impact. Think swimming, water aerobics, and walking instead or running or bouncing. Malic acid supplements are good for bad flare ups of joint pain too. These are taken with food. Remember to smile and be positive as much as you can each day. That’s all I can think of right now, as I was just bombarded with pre-finals homework EEK! Guest guest
Also deep breathing helps almost anything. When I am in pain, I do it and go to sleep. When I am stressed I do it and calm down. When.... LOL you get the picture. Long deep breaths as deep as you can take them, count to 10 if you comfortable can, then let it out. Usually by 10 breaths I am improving noticeably. Gayla Always Enough RanchAcampo, Californiahttp://bouncinghoofs.com/alwaysenough.htmlaeranch@... Guest guest
It is a highly concentrated form of magnesium that some people have a hard time dealing with on an empty stomach. Everyone is told to eat with this supplement. If you have heartburn problems, I would try the lowest dose with food and see if it triggers anything. It didn’t bother me at all, but the joint pain sure went down fast. First thing that ever worked for it too. I haven’t had a flare up in a dog’s age either *knocks on formica* Janet From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of earthmother1111 Sent: Thursday, December 06, 2007 9:24 AM health Subject: Re: Red palms A question: is Malic acid hard on the stomach as in, heartburn? > A lot of people with FMS and CFS have anxiety issues. Guest guest
You have my sympathy. I HATE moving! We moved 5 times in 6 years. Not to mention the physical labor involved, something always gets lost or stolen by relatives who "just want to borrow it because you are not using it" and gets trashed or lost at their home. We have been here for 5 years now and I am afraid to invest a lot in perennial plants (fruit trees, artichokes) because we will just have to leave them when we move. On the light side, moving is better than being homeless. Then you worry less about what gets packed and what gets thrown away. All you have to do is deal with some food on a (hopefully) daily basis and a place to sleep. <VBG> Gayla Always Enough RanchAcampo, Californiahttp://bouncinghoofs.com/alwaysenough.htmlaeranch@... Guest guest
" > Then just stop moving! " Well how shall I answer you? Just stop moving, huh? We had gotten our property foreclosed on and had to move when we had a fire that the insurance would not cover. We lost everything we had worked for for the last 20 years except each other. So we moved. We moved in with in-laws who wanted us to go into business with them. But they had not done their homework, so the deal fell through and we were glad to move from there. So we moved. The only place we could find to move into that we could afford was a 25 foot cab over trailer. We did not know the area and had only menial paying jobs. But it kept the rain off for the duration. So we moved. Then DH got a job that provided a house with the job. So we moved. Then the property went under different management and the new manager wanted to put his relative in the house. So we moved. We moved to a place where the owners were elderly. The man died and the wife sold the property. So we moved. Now we are living in a place owned by an 85 year old woman. When she dies we will have to move. So just stop moving, huh? Gayla Always Enough Ranch Acampo, California http://bouncinghoofs.com/alwaysenough.html aeranch@... Guest guest
Gayla - you need to go into a business to help people pare down their "stuff" when they have to move! You would be great. I know there are a lot of baby boomers who have acquired too much "stuff" and when they sell the big house to downsize they don't know how to get rid of any of the "stuff" to fit in the new house. Make all your moving experience pay off for you. Shari
Guest guest
Thanks Shari! I would be telling them to toss 99% of their stuff. They would pay me in left over cracker crumbs! LOL But my older sister is now in the process of moving - she has been trying for a year to sort out stuff. She called me to ask some questions about things and I basically told her to get that load off her back. Let it go. Some things like letters from our late grandfather, keep. Boxes of her research even she never used, toss. At heart I am a junkie. I love old things with possibilities. But I get practical sometimes and recycle or send stuff to thrift stores by the box full. Gayla Always Enough RanchAcampo, Californiahttp://bouncinghoofs.com/alwaysenough.htmlaeranch@...
