Guest guest
Hello across the miles, This is a good debate. However, I would like to comment about an element I see missing among the discussions: BIRTH TRANSMISSIONS of HIV to babies born to these couples. The children of the world are the littlest, least advocated for group affected by this obscene virus. Look what has happened in Africa to the children! Testing before marriage is one means to stem this tide of infections. Here where I live, if we can't get testing before marraige, many providers are advocating testing of pregnant woman. If people KNEW their status PRIOR to having a family and BEFORE becoming pregnant, we could significantly reduce the number of children in the world infected by thier birth parents or/or breast milk. I am always impressed by your ongoing efforts and engagement in the myriad of issues on this forum. Sending my best and warmest wishes to everyone, Angie Hendrickson, Wisconsin, USA e-mail: <angie1@...>
