High handed treatment of NGOs by funding organisations (2)

The torture still continues....

On 5th August I had been to Vellore to close the clinics set up by

MAC and TAI which was running at the cost of rent being paid by

SFDRT, this is inspite of the project being closed. For the past two

months that being June and July i had been paying the rent for both

the clinics being 10,000/- and they were continuing to run the

clinics with strict instructions that none of my staff from SFDRT

would be allowed. Following which while i came down to lock the

clinics. Dr. and his two supporters on knowing the purpose

of my arrival, very cunningly brought me out and locked me inside

the compound. Inspite of me screaming that i had been purposely

locked within the compound it was shocking that such sought of ill-

treatment with high handedness on the instruction of Lakshmibai

PD/TAI/VHS was continuing.

I had to come out of the building with police escort. I had managed

to file an FIR against Dr. of MAC/TAI and with very strong

local support managed with great difficulties to move MAC/VHS out of

both the buildings.

I do not understand where this entire episode is leading to...

I also have a firm doubt on the fact that this being a public money set by Bill

and Melinda Gates Foundation is being squandered by a few set of people with

vested interests which if Gates Foundation India hesitates to give a healing

thought to those affected like SFDRT, it would continue to pose a threat to all

NGOs.

I leave it to Gates Foundation India to rethink on what has happened

so far and come forward to elicit the truth and facts.
