Guest guest
Sharyn, I used to be a weigher at Weight Watchers. We are talking maybe 20 years ago. It was a few pounds to lose back then and it worked. Speaking very recently of my weight loss program are how I lost 23 pounds so far since end of August. I never saw myself as heavy, but obviously I had some shut eyes when I got weighed and went into a deep shock of being the heaviest I have ever been. I have gone from Ex large or large at Dress Barn (clothing store for ladies) to SMALL. I look very slender too. What am I doing: I joined 24 hour fitness. http://24hourfit.schedulesource.com/public/ FL has some places. Oh, if interested in joining let me know before as I will get reward points for that. I earned already 5 free training sessions by my rewards. It's not any gimmick at all. I totally believe in it. Also for any products I get rewards I believe too (I would have to check on that). You can get free one week pass there. Not sure if you have it in your area Sharyn, but great investment for me. I was always a gym girl, but floated around not knowing how to use the machines, or which exercise for which part of the body. The guess work is being done for me now by a hired trainer at the gym. It is working great. Each week I have gone down and never up. Sometimes I think my daily weigh in would show differently but so far so good. Having a personal trainer helps me do the right exercises for my body and the routine is changing weekly. I do coombine that with CARDIO. He has me on the treadmill at the highest incline and I feel like I am in a constant HILL climb playing with the speeds to keep me on the machine without holding on at all. It is a TOUGH workout. He tells me what I need do, I write it all down, and follow up each week doing it. Another thought: Bodybug is a software gadget that people use to keep track of calories burnt etc. Lots of skinny people at the gym invested in them. Today is the last day to buy one with $100 off. Not sure if you can find what I have at the gym however. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa/latestnews/stories/w faa071126_mo_bodybugg.41b093bf.html I gained lots of pounds by eating lots of nuts to the max. I would also bake 4-5 potatoes vs. 1 and eat it all up. I used to eat bread and Rice Dream Ice Cream that made me have acid reflux. Now that is gone. Now, I eat nuts in my Sunshine Burgers (health food store), 2 per day, very little grains if any daily, very little if any nuts too and then lots of salads as before, some soup, mainly with veggies and little lentils that are measured before putting in pot. I don't assume I put into the pot 1/2 c. but weigh everything before it goes in. I am drinking not enough water, but water helps tons too. I am going to the bathroom as usual 3 times per day. Hope this helps you. Being raw has helped me but not to my total new designed body. Oh, I am down 5 INCHES in chest, 5 INCHES in waist and all over body but these were the big numbers since I started at 24 hour. The trainers are fairly priced and I have had one since I joined and will continue to stand on feet at event centers to work for my training sessions. It is paying off. People say older people lose slow and I am living proof it is a myth. I'm here if you need my support or need phone or email support. I care. Hugs, carolg > > I'm getting to that point, Judith.
