Guest guest
Anyone ever hear of this site. I really liked it. I may buy from it this spring. Hope you will enjoy. Beannacht Lynn Older is Better by Jody Gilbert If you have fond recollections of certain types of flowers--maybe some that grew in your grandparents' yard or in your own yard when you were just a garden-lovin' toddler--you may be able to re-create the magic. The Old House Gardens Web site has heirloom bulbs for sale that are described as tough ( " they're survivors! " ) and that " offer a living connection with gardeners of the past. " The site offers bulb selections by zone (for example, a check of Zone 6 brought up a selection of spring-planted bulbs that included cannas, dahlias, glads, lilies, and caladiums (some of which require digging and storing in that zone). The fall-planted bulbs for Zone 6 included scads of crocuses and some 45 types of Narcissus, along with hyacinths, lilies, and tons of tulips. If you're trying to track down an ancestral bulb, or would just like to take a step back in floral history, you can check out the Old House Gardens site at http://oldhousegardens.com
