Guest guest
Oh that explains it. BFL really should put a notation at the bottom of photos where more than one challenge was completed. I think that is why many people question the winners sometimes. Where would I go to read how many challenges all winners completed? > > The BFL website says 50+ Grand Champion... Guest guest
They tend to get mobbed when they post. Adair is a member here and used to post. I don't know if she still lurks. Mina Hobbi posted her story for us. Pam Brown posts all the time at Lean & Strong. Hank , , Brad Wadlow, Fred & Scurtti, and many others are members and post on the clubs frequently. Even Bill used to post on the original BFL club. Now THAT was awesome! It deteriorated into a flaming, back-stabbing, slug-fest over there though. I think he got really fed up with the constant bickering and negativity. Can't say I blame him. Guest guest
It was /bodyforlifeclub There was nothing official about it. Just another club, but it was the first and the biggest. In the heyday, the volume was over 10,000 posts a month. It became a closed group when it was in the process of self-destructing. Invitation only. So, I'm not sure if you can even access it anymore. It's definitely dead now, less than 5 posts a month. I don't know if any of the champs were posting regularly before they won. I know some of the runners up were active on . Oooh! Clarissa (Myoplexlite)! There's a picture of her and Bill in the " We're all champs here " folder. She had a baby and started a club called BFL Mamas. I think she may still be with us. She had an amazing transformation. Re: Carolyn Culverhouse 50+ age category goes from size 20 to size 4(lost 80 pounds) what is the name of that original bfl group? Is that the official site? Guest guest
Based on the fact that I have lost 74 lbs I can say that I bet she really did lose 80! Plus, I am sure they have to prove their stats - though now that I think of it, how could they? Anyway, it is hard to tell on some people how much they have lost. She looks like she carried her weight fairly evenly throughout her body, maybe more in the thighs/hips region. Guest guest
They didn't say she lost 80# scale weight, they said she lost 80# of fat. Those kinds of numbers are a little suspect, since BF% for those of us that are large are not terribly accurate, but I'm sure they are basing that number on the change in her BF. If you look at her Champion page it tells you that she lost 24# in her last challange, so she has done multiple. Alys
Guest guest
> Where would I go to read how many challenges all winners completed? You'd prolly have to look at them each individually: http://bodyforlife.com/comp_corner.shtml At the bottom are links for all the grand champions by year. It's pretty inconsistant, tho. Our own Mina is only shown her stats for her last 12-weeks: http://bodyforlife.com/Competitor_Corner/successtories/story.asp?success_pk=93 ....And not for the truly outstanding year-long process for which we have photos in the club here. Inspiring nonetheless. -- gnat!
Guest guest
Mina only won 2nd runner up? I thought she would have easily won at least grand champion. Has Pam Brown entered the bfl contest? She could definitely be the first female master champ. > > Where would I go to read how many challenges all winners completed? > > You'd prolly have to look at them each individually: > http://bodyforlife.com/comp_corner.shtml > > At the bottom are links for all the grand champions by year. > > > It's pretty inconsistant, tho. Guest guest
Hi all this is shonda. Just using a different name. Pam entered the 2001 contest and did not win, ore even place.Which she said is fine for her. She is enjoying her new business ( which she couldnot do if contected to EAS) and winning bodybuilding contests. > > > Where would I go to read how many challenges all winners > completed? > > > > You'd prolly have to look at them each individually: > > http://bodyforlife.com/comp_corner.shtml > > > > At the bottom are links for all the grand champions by year. > > > > > > It's pretty inconsistant, tho. Guest guest
I just doubted that she lost 80 pounds in 12 weeks which was the impression given when the caption states here total loss with only one challenge photos. How long did it take you to lose the 74 pounds Park? Can you share an example of what your daily meals and eating plans were like. Just one day would be helpful. > Based on the fact that I have lost 74 lbs I can say that I bet she really did lose 80! Guest guest
That's a shame, I don't blame bill for getting out of there. He has too much going on than to get involved in cyber drama. I tried the group and it does say that I can't access it. > It was /bodyforlifeclub > > There was nothing official about it. Just another club, but it was the > first and the biggest. Guest guest
It has taken me 9 1/2 months to lose 74 lbs. My pictures are in the albums here. I am on C4W3D2. Guest guest
With Pam's lifestory and her physical transformation she should have been a sure winner. Seems that most of the winners usually have less than 40 pounds to lose. Although, I thought some of the winners went on to start their own personal training business. Are the champions paid yearly to promote EAS/BFL? > > > > Where would I go to read how many challenges all winners > > completed? > > > > > > You'd prolly have to look at them each individually: > > > http://bodyforlife.com/comp_corner.shtml > > > > > > At the bottom are links for all the grand champions by year. > > > > > > > > > It's pretty inconsistant, tho.
