For the first time in medicine, direct clinical evidence has been established that a defined nutritional supplement program can stop coronary atherosclerosis, the cause of heart attacks. Following are the most important results of this study to be published in the forthcoming issue of the Journal of Applied Nutrition. The study measured the growth of coronary artery calcifications, the hallmark of coronary artery disease, in 55 patients (age 44-67) with various stages of this disease. The patients were monitored before and during one year of our nutritional supplement program composed of vitamins, amino acids, minerals and trace elements. The size of the atherosclerotic deposits and the stage of coronary artery disease was measured by Ultrafast Computed Tomography (UCT), a new diagnostic technique that allows the direct measurement of the coronary calcification non-invasively. The results can be summarized as follows: Without optimum nutritional supplementation coronary atherosclerosis is a very aggressive disease with an average annual growth rate of 44%, Coronary heart disease can be diagnosed early, long before symptoms develop and it is preventable at this early stage, Our vitamin program can stop the growth of coronary heart disease during its early stages in the relatively short time of one year. The picture shows the growth rate of coronary calcium deposits, determined by Ultrafast CT without our vitamin program. Patients with early stages of coronary artery disease are represented on the left hand side, patients with advanced coronary artery disease on the right side. The curve documents for the first time that coronary artery disease grows exponentially. On average the calcium deposits increased every year by 44%. Our vitamin program stops coronary artery disease already in its early stage This figure shows changes in the size of coronary calcium deposits before and during the vitamin program. Line A-B shows the increase of coronary atherosclerosis without the vitamin program, B-C represents the changes in the deposit size during the first 6 months on the program. Remarkably, during the second 6 months on the vitamin program (C-D) coronary heart disease stopped growing. In comparison, line B-F shows the calculated progression of the disease without the vitamin program. The degree of coronary calcification is expressed in Coronary Artery Scanning (CAS) units. In individual cases, this natural approach led to the reversal of coronary heart disease and to the complete disappearance of calcium deposits. These pictures show the Ultrafast CT heart scans of a 50 year old patient with beginning coronary heart disease. The patient did not have any symptoms and the coronary deposits were detected during a routine UCT check-up (upper row). The heart cross section CT images reveal the presence of calcified deposits in the right and left coronary artery. After following our vitamin program for about one year the coronary deposits had completely disappeared in a natural way. This study proves that it is possible to prevent America's Number One Health Problem through a natural approach. It should encourage health professionals, health care providers and public policy makers to redefine health strategies towards the control of cardiovascular disease. Consequent implementation of these study results should eventually eliminate heart attacks, strokes and other forms of cardiovascular diseases in future generations.
