Guest guest
Please replace my previous message with this corrected version: Hello List Members, Since division among the people is what allows powerful, corrupt, ruthless vested financial interests to have their way at the expense of everyone's true best interest, I'd like to remind everyone of what I've said all along. The isolation of oxygen therapy from complementary alternative therapies and politics does not serve the true best interests of oxygen therapy, list members, health or truth--whatever other benefits it may provide. Likewise, the isolation of alternative therapies in general from the political ramifications affecting them does not best serve the alternative therapies, list members, health or truth. The division of knowledge into separate categories always runs into problems because the demarkations between categories are arbitrary and artificial, and allow adherents of one category to proceed without benefit of understandings held by adherents of other categories. Who can say where politics directly affecting alternative therapies leave off and other politics begin, when medical politics exists within a larger political context? It is the self-same contempt for truth and disregard for the total well-being that allows corrupt vested interests to suppress less profitable superior therapies in favor of more profitable inferior ones, or to profit from undermining the total well-being in any other way. Personally, I have a hard time isolating any part of knowledge from the rest, and feel we exclude any area to the detriment of our understanding. I would point out that we all have a delete button and free will. Yes, I acknowledge that things can sometimes get out of hand, human nature being what it is. I don't profess to have all the answers. I do have some clear feelings and perceptions and want to share them with you. I also am open to hearing your perspectives on these things. I was troubled by the split of oxyplus from oxylist, even though I reveled in the freedom of the new forum. You may remember I appealed to oxyplus members to post to the oxylist whenever the subject would allow, the reason being that since oxylist had a far larger membership than oxyplus, and almost all oxyplus members were also oxylist members anyhow, this would allow the maximum number of people to benefit from the information being passed. I now make the same appeal to MedPolPlus members--Please post to oxyplus whenever the subject matter allows, as this will afford the maximum number of people an opportunity to benefit from the information being passed. I'd like to call attention again to what Jim said in his current post on this subject: " Tangerine and everyone, I thought I made it clear that your posts were not a problem because they were directly health related. What I continue to object to are controversial issues which have nothing to do with health! This includes Vietnam, Clinton, or any other subject whose presence here serves no purpose other than to incite argument & waste bandwidth. " Two things here: 1) MOST of the " political " discussion that has been posted on oxyplus seems to be okay with Jim, and 2) SOME of it is not. As to the part that is not, I must admit to some puzzlement as to what Jim is referring to. The closest I have been able to come to it is Nick's reply to Tangerine of December 8, in which MOST of his commentary seems to be directly related to government persecution of oxygen therapy, and the part that is not seems indirectly related and germaine to the discussion. In any case, please make an effort to post to the largest membership possible under the existing circumstances. A lot is at stake and we don't help our overall situation by dividing the energy. Most sincerely, Green
