Potassium Potassium nourishes the heart, kidneys, pancreas, muscles and the nerves. It assists in the growth and repair of body tissues, and also helps conduct messages in the body through the nervous system. Potassium helps regulate blood pressure. There must be a balanced potassium-to-sodium ratio in the body for all systems to function at their optimum level. Suzi List

Coffee is a antihistamine; sometimes you can avoid an allergy attack by drinking a strong cup of cofee (so I hear) :o) and I recently read to put a tsp. of ground coffee under your tongue if you have been stung by a wasp/bee and suspect an allergy.

Oh, and it is rumored to stave off migraines, according to folk herbalist Rosemary Gladstar.

:o)

Coffee as a Decongestant in Colds, Flu and Asthma

Caffeine opens narrowed bronchial tubes, according to Joe and Graedon, authors of The People's Pharmacy. According to a report in the ls of Epidemiology, the odds of experiencing current asthma symptoms were reduced 29 percent for subjects who drank coffee on a regular basis when compared with non-coffee drinkers.

Coffee ocassionally is fine... just not a pot a day!!!!
