Guest guest
Dear Forum, One of India's biggest publishing houses is about to come out with a " Reporters Manual on HIV/AIDS " which I am reviewing. It is the shortest and most up-to-date 40 odd pages booklet on HIV/AIDS, its significance, its implications and ramifications, it's reportage or lack of reportage, the ethics of HIV/AIDS reporting etc are all given very concisely in the eight chapters through a very readable and easy-to-use format that is a pleasure to refer to. I have suggested more illustrations as there is too much material crammed into those 40 odd pages. There is also a subtle hint of the politics of HIV/AIDS which I found very unsatisfying but that might require up-dating every week so I'm sure it was left out on purpose! All in all, this is going to be a manual definately usable by other than reporters and journalists. Meanwhile please wait for the next announcement.
