Guest guest
Welllllllllllllllllllllll, if she could cut out the animal products I do believe she might be happier. I never had a hot flash, but I did have the on and off periods but not heavy flow. Did she have heavy periods before all this? I never did so that might be why. My on and off lasted about two years. But I firmly believe I did not experience the hot flashes because I did not ingest animal products and the hormones that come with them. Hallelujah Acres sells a hormone cream my girlfriend swears by and she's not into anything remotely healthy! She didn't change her diet, but claims the cream helped her, immensely. And of course there's always the stress..........when she gets a grip on that tell her to write me and tell me how she did it! Love, Shari
Guest guest
it can be normal. The body can go through stop and start mode several times. I know nothing about Estroven, so I can't help there. I did not take anything special, just put up with it. Some women sail through in a few months, some grind through for a couple of years. Stress does not help, but can she treat stress separately? B vitamins and vitamin C in massive doses can help a lot. Gayla Always Enough RanchAcampo, Californiaaeranch@... "the Change" Marilyn wanted me to get some info from "those that know", and those I trust. About 4 months ago, she started what we believed was the Change. She stopped having periods, had awful hot flashes and night sweats, though those only lasted a couple of months. About a week ago, she started flowing very heavily, with all of the "period symptoms" as well. Is this normal? She is taking Estroven, which contains: Multi-vitamins similar to regular vitamins; Chinese Date Seed Extract; Green Tea Extract; Magnolia Bark Standardized Extract; Yerba Mate Leaf Extract; Isoflavones; Black Cohosh Root Standardized Extract; Boron Chelate She takes one a day. She also works out at Curves 4 days a week and we walk every evening. Our diet could be better. We are still living with our daughter, and she loves to cook hearty meals, though we try to eat more fruit and veggies than meat and starches. Too much salt and processed flour. She drinks 1/2 cup of coffee in the am, no soda, no smoking, no perscription meds. Her stress level is on overdrive. I finally got a great job with great pay, and great training for owning our own business, but are panicking about getting a place to live. Our daughter and family is moving into a new place with a bunch of like-minded roommates in a week, and we have till the end of the month to get a place of our own. We have a past eviction, so it is near impossible to get a decent place. Thus the panick. So, any advice on the Change issue, and any and all positive energy and prayers gladly appreciated. Guest guest
I'm going through that now. This will be my third month without a period. (not that I'm complaining) I might get one in another month and then not get one for a couple of months. Like someone else said I'm in "stop and start mode". The only difference I notice right now is that I seem to sweat easier than I ever did before. From doing the least little thing I can break out in a sweat. Also I'm not much for the heat anymore. I sleep with the window open in cold weather and "NEVER" used to do that. However I can't be sure if that is from my body changing or the narcotics I take for my awful back and leg pain. I have them down to a minimum but I still take them. So who knows maybe it's a combination of both. I'm taking nothing at the moment and I take just vit. D with my calcium each day for my bones. (I had a bone density test and have the beginning of osteoporosis) I'm about to start an anitcholesterol drug today since all previous efforts have failed and it has increased to almost 400. I'm a bomb waiting to go off. LOL!! I have to stop that somehow. All the garlic in the world isn't doing me much good though I still take it. The blood tests show I have a genetic inability to metabolize the cholesterol so I get to take yet another pill every month. Wonderful. I just hope it works with minimal side effects. Otherwise I haven't noticed any other symptoms. I hear that wild yam is good for some female problems like this. It's just a thought. Good luck and my best to you wife. Guest guest
Yes , she is peri-menopausal. Don’t worry, this too shall pass. Get her a little fan for her side of the bed if the night sweats get too uncomfortable. I also kept a small mister bottle full of water as some on-the-fly air conditioning for hot flashes when I went through it. She might have a few more irregular and heavy periods, which is completely normal too. As far as the moving – lie on your app and have them call someone you know as a reference instead of the past landlord. They check credit more thoroughly than anything else. On our current place I had them call my mom and a friend as references, worked like a charm. Just let whoever you are having them call know how long you lived with them so your stories mesh hehe. Guest guest
There is or was a recipe for women's formula from Doc i thought, i had asembled some at point for my sister and it really, really helped with hot & Cold and night sweats. My mom used it and liked it too. I have to find the formlua myself as in the last 2 weeks i have been noticing i amwaking up around 2 or 3 in the AM and feel like i am going to burn up...this coming from someone who is perprtually cold! If i find the recipe, i will mail it to you . It was in powder format and i just capped it out. Whatever the original formula was, i added MACA to it for hormonal balance!
