It is too restrictive for some people,

some thrive on it, some cause way more problems then they previously had. It

also depends on how strong your kidneys are because too much protein can

overload them. A balanced, fresh and whole food diet is best. Because of your

arthritis, I would cut the meat and dairy entirely and use nuts and legumes for

my protein sources instead.

Subject:

dr. atkins diet

a well-meaning friend tells me to go on Dr. atkins

diet...

my inner voice says no... also, since i am arthritic, the meat would

not help, although he tells me i can go on the diet and not eat meat..

to me, this diet is too restrictive and i have enough problems,

without a rigid diet.

thanks, diana

My wife Marilyn swears by it.

Peace, love, laughter

Try the old tried and true "Fit for Life". They say fruit until noon and then take it from there.
