It's getting harder every year here. I think we will have to start replacing fixtures soon. My partner is resistant to a softener.

It grows a good garden when I amend the clay. Sacramento is near hardpan.

We grow in this cement with a lot of amendments. It is great soil if you add loads of humus. This clay has more minerals available to the plants than most soils.
