Guest guest
My oldest NDS had severe repeated sinus infections. He had a CT scan and it showed his sniuses were so inflammed that you could barely pass a wire thru them, He coughed every night as soon as he laid his head down. He was with me when I took my youngerst (DS) to the ENT. He took a peek at my oldest and said " he has reflux " . We treated him for it. Sinuses are all better no more infections and he is 22 now. He no longer coughs all night. So definetly check out GERD and also have them check with a speak therapist to see how he is eating. Guest guest
I have read several articles recently linking acid reflux as an asthma trigger. Perhaps you might want to visit with your Doctor about whether food is somehow making its way into lungs and causing breathing problems. My kids have asthma. When they were little, and did not want to mess with the breathing machine, the Dr. told me to just let the mist blow into their face and let them breathe it in that way. Darcy _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of loops77 Sent: Thursday, January 03, 2008 10:39 AM Subject: Shortness of breath/Bronchitis Hi there everyone. I am posting this question for my mom in regards of my 2 year old brother Tony. Tony has been sick for a couple of weeks now, he has shortness in breath and struggles to breath, the doctors prescribed him Albuterol Sulfate 0.083% he takes it with the little Inspiration machine and a breathing mask. It is really hard because he fights it, cries, moves around a lot. The doctors in Arizona told my mom that Tony has bronchiolitis. While she thought he was getting better they decided to take a trip to visit family in California for the holidays, while in California he was rushed to urgent care at a hospital here. My mom was told he has bronchitis. They decided to go back to Arizona so he could be comfortable at home. I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts, experience, advice, suggestions or anything at all on his bronchitis and him struggling to breath. These shortness of breath attacks he gets happen mostly when he is trying to eat. Once food is placed into his mouth he lifts up his head and chin and then brings his head back down again. Looks like he is also struggling to swallow. It is heart breaking to see :[ I'm off to work, have a good day everyone!
