Guest guest
I didn't save the little baby bathtub I had for my first child, since it was taking up a lot of space, and we used it for such a short time. When my second child was born, I just got in the big tub with him every time I gave him a bath, until he was sitting well enough that I could put him in the tub by himself. I've been doing the same for Iris so far, but it makes bathtime a pretty big deal, since I end up having undress and dress both of us every time I bathe her, and now that she's playing on the floor more, I really should bathe her more often than I do. She's nine months old now, and still needs a bit of help to sit up. I think I need another solution for bathtime for her. I don't want to get something that was designed for a newborn and then find out she's too big for it already. What have others done for this? -April
Guest guest
We used one of those bath rings for Myah that sticks to the bottom of the tub. Of course you have to be very careful and never leave your child because they can tip if they come loose from the tub floor or your tub is not exactly smooth. It worked fine for us and gave her a little independence until she was able to sit on her own. Guest guest
Hi April- Have you tried one of the (smaller) inflatable tubs? You just set it in your regular tub and fill only the inflatable. They're great!! (they are small enough that you can position Iris against the back of it for even more support). I was actually going to get one for Chase (13 mos-Ds) this weekend (I can't locate his big brother's) but then we got slammed with rain. But I think if they can sit up for the most part (and with our support) they should do fine. Chase's big brother loved his!!! I hope this helps. The duckbill quacked when squeezed. I believe there was a temperature pad in it also to warn if the water was too warm. Guest guest
For my youngest, I never worried about a 'baby' bath as such - just used the bathroom basin or kitchen sink, then laundry trough as she got bigger. Found this was far easier - everything at the right height and less mess to clean up after bath time. Wish I had of thought/told that with my others.
