Guest guest Posted January 4, 2008 Report Share Posted January 4, 2008 Hi! My name is and I live in Pittsburgh,Pa. along with my husband,, and daughter, na (DS). na is 8 yrs. old and in 2nd grade. She has not had any serious medical issues to date. She does have an underactive thyroid that was diagnosed nat 6 months and she recently started wearing glasses. I have been lurking for almost a year and enjoy reading everyones stories and have learned alot. Currently we are concerned about school. na is in 2nd grade and attends a Catholic school program for kids with disabilities. She is in the reg. ed class for most of the day and is pulled ut for math & reading. She has made alot of progress but the school she is attending is in danger of closeing (low enrollment, this is a reg.ed catholic school that also has the program that na is in). We sent Bianna to our local district school for Kindy. but she was treated so badly it was not worth fighting to keep her there. So now we are looking for other options and are willing to move to another district if we need to. Any advice, suggestions from anyone in the Pittsburgh area are very welcome.
