Just to go slowly at first until you know what you like. I love beets, but

don't like loads of beet juice in my mixes. Cabbage and other crucifers can

have negative effects on your digestion taken in large quantities.

Just have fun and experiment.

Hi Craig,

Juicing is a whole lot of fun. We have a very basic cheap juicer, but use it to death. Our 10 year old son is always coming up with new ideas.

We did the standard, start with carrots thing that I hear most do, and of course stained the white plastic. but it tasted great. I love carrot, celery and apple (preferably granny smith).

The only drag is constantly stopping to clean out the grater part that does the actual juicing. Lost a lot of knuckle skin at first.

We've even juiced hot peppers. Boy, did the house smell great after that! But had to be taken in very small sips.

Have fun, experiment. If you have kids, definitely get them involved. They come up with some pretty strange combos, but it is good clean family interaction. And if you have any specific questions, or want to share some experiences, please do so!!

Peace, love, laughter

I recently purchased a Waring juicer and have been experimenting with it. I have juiced many fruits and a few vegetables. Does anyone have any experience with juicing ? And if anyone does please share your expertise we me.Thank you,Craig

I remember our first beet experiment with the juicer. WAY too much beet! But we love beets. Use the beet. The greens for salads, and the stalks for the stock pot that I do on Mondays.

We have a small "community garden" here in this apartment complex, and the beets are so delicious! So much different from store bought. Even likes them.

We've got beets, carrots, lettuce, potatoes, peppers, corn, squash, eggplant, okra (YUK!!!!) and assorted herbs. I love it!

My kids’ favorite juice is carrots

with apples, so far. Although, we experiment with new flavors as the season

progresses.

Hi ,

I started with carrots also, I juice 2 medium carrots, 1 medium

cucumber, 1 apple(golden delicious), 1/2 lemon, and 2 " piece of

ginger root. I love ginger root it really gives the mixture a great

flavor. I will have to try beets, I really don't like beets but

everyone says they are really good juiced.

Thanks, Craig

Hi Janet,

I like carrots and apples also. I can't get my children who are

teenagers to try juicing. I have been juicing Bing cherries to help

with my bad knees.

Thanks, Craig

Hi Gayla,

I want to try more green vegetables, what type of juicer do you use?

Thanks, Craig
