we called over a week ago. Our slow connection is also why I haven't posted

a lot lately, also the busy life.

I'm Kathy married to Mike for 20 some years. I'm Mom to 4 .......... Joe 29

who may be married by the end of the year, we all love his girlfriend and her

7yr old daughter!!!!!! 28 who now lives with us and her son Tater age

7. We moved to Nashville from Memphis 2.5 years ago and are totally loving

it, and Ben have followed ... right before Thanksgiving. I also have

a daughter Kaite who is in college. She brought home super grades this

semester ......... so much for me lecturing her about coming into town so much

to

see the boyfriend (who is still in HS lol) she's obviously balancing her life

just fine lol (Kaite's is going after a degree in Sped!!!!!!! )

Then we have Sara (DS) age 16. Sara is a freshman in HS and loving it.

Kaite's boyfriend has all of his friends being so nice to Sara, she eats with

all

of them at lunch and calls her sister on Eli's phone lol Sara loves

everything that goes along with being a teenager ........ loud music, dancing,

movies,

shopping BOYS everyday she tells me this boy at school has a crush on her

and she'll say " Mom I told him I'm not cheating on my boyfriend Mav " its

soooooooo cute Sara has been in love since I think 5th grade, such a pure love

no

one can understand .......... well, I'm betting can lol .......... since

she only communicates through emails, letters and phone calls. If anything

big happens she wants to call her love lol

Education wise, making this move here has been the best thing we have ever

done for Sara. I've never been involved with professionals who truly love

giving Sara the best of themselves. Any conflicts have been fixed immediately

and

support given with little to no difficulty. I told Mike we will not move from

this county until Sara is done with school lol Anyway Sara is academically

succeeding

Mike and all of us are going through some sadness though, his father is now

terminally ill with cancer and we all know we will lose him this year. I have

not told Sara or warned her because I'm afraid she will say something to

Mike's parents. We are very worried about Mike's Mom, she and her husband are

like a pair of old shoes, when he leaves us I don't know what she will do. We

have invited her to come live with us, even thought about selling this house

and getting one with a mother-in-law wing. It's just a wait and see thing. Mike

who never gets sad or can even understand depression admitted he thought he

was depressed he said between losing his dad and Kaite's and his

relationship being strained (boyfriend replaced Mike in the spending time

together

dept. she barely talks to her dad now) he feels sooooooooo sad, he always

follows it by saying " Wellllllll I'm blessed to have Tater and Sara ......... I

guess and I are chicken soup to him lol

Life is full of seasons and I guess this is ours, kind of bittersweet. I am

looking forward to the warmth of spring, this means we will be back at the

lake and this is MY best R & R time heehee

Its been great reading all of your roll calls (and I'm not done yet lol)

.............. Some of you I don't see post as often as I would like lol (you all

know who you are lol) but looking at your children's ages really has slammed

me with how fast time is flying by. I'd like to think Ive been aging

gracefully with Sara but when I read that is now 18, is 16, Kellon 17

and 20 woooooooooooeeeee I'm feeling OLD

I hope all have a great new year ........... my only resolution this year

was to work less (I'm renovating our house) and post more !!!! This was after I

looked at my mailbox with over 300 emails in it
