Guest guest
How about a green smoothie? You can hide lots of greens in a smoothie. The one I use on folks who balk at the color is blueberry/banana/spinach or whatever green you like. Romaine is good, too. The blueberries will color the entire drink to be dark blue and they'll never know it's got greens in it. I'm talking fresh greens, not dehydrated barley grass or wheatgrass. ~~~~LOL!! It's not the looks of it - that doesn't bother me! My new favorite color is green! It's actually having that many grasses or whatever in it. My gut doesn't like it, at all, at all. My favorite this summer is really ripe honeydew melon with lots of spinach. I put the entire, cleaned melon in the blender and then two HUGE handfulls of baby spinach and whirl it up. YUM! Shari ~~~~Maybe I'm just lazy, but by the time I have a melon cleaned up enough to blend it, I'd just as soon eat it and drink water! Or maybe it's that I feel more satisfied after chewing. ?? I'm simply not that big on drinking my calories, I guess. Oh, but hey! Speaking of fresh greens - I just got a lead on fresh greens from my SIL. So here's my question; if you wanted to keep them solid (!) for a salad, which do you think has the mildest flavor (this would be for my hubby) - mustard, collard, turnip or kale? He already eats fresh spinach (thank all the gods), but I'd like to boost that a bit. I'm not a big fan of kale, but I suppose I could get used to it... ? Or what about beet greens? I've never had those before, but I can buy bunches of beets and use the greens... Off to change sheets - it's MONday!!! Ev_ E_Or what about beet greens? I've never ,_._,___
