I would think that pink spots that did not go away would mean its a little

too tight on the side burn area. Maybe the ortho could shave or alter this

area to relieve some pressure. Just my take. I felt very uncomfortable with

marks that stayed longer than one hour, pink or red! had one on his

forehead, and they said it was pink, well, I saw red, so I had them shave a

bit off and he was fine after that. Go with your gut instinct on this- we

are not professionals but we know our children and want them as comfortable

as possible during this process.
