Guest guest
We are under a severe winter storm warning here in the St. Louis metro area. It is snowing/sleeting, with an expected 6 inches today. I went to Wal-Mart to get oil changed in my car and to get some groceries. The store is about 1.5 miles from my house. The roads are 2 lane each direction, with a 40 mph speed limit. On the way home, a car (just one between us) slide in front of a semi, then went off a small embankment. Since I am a licensed medical person, I ran down to see if I could assist. The vehicle in front of me was driven by a man from church who happens to be a veternarian. He got there in time to check the passenger, who was already gone. The woman (driver) was bleeding profusely from head trauma and didn't make until the ambulance got there. My point is....even though the roads don't seem too bad (my original thought), please, please drive carefully. -- Sue mom to Kate 18 and Karrie 11 w/ds and mild autism ---- Loree5@... wrote: > > In a message dated 3/4/2008 7:27:46 AM Eastern Standard Time, > bspyle@... writes: > > Yeah, but we count our Winters in days rather than months. :^) > > > > LOL!!! > > > > **************It's Tax Time! Guest guest
HI Sue What a sad story, last week we had a teensy tiny bit of frozen precipitation, 100 wrecks happened in a 30 min time slot. My PG sisters hubby was on his way to Knoxville for work and Beth was a tad worried (Knoxville was hit worse than us, darn mountains) anyway I told her Oh Beth I'm not worried he will be killed in a wreck, just might end up in a snow bank. I guess I was thinking everyone would be crawling in this weather so no injuries. I grew up in Waukesha outside of Milwaukee so I've never been afraid of the snow. Yesterday was in the 70's wind up to 60mph and thunderstorms, today we will have snow showers by 5pm uggggggggg no wonder my migraines are more frequent, this happened last week too. Guest guest
I'm so glad you were there! I am in Marshfield, MO and we were supposed to get about 10 inches but the band was much smaller than expected and it missed us. Springfield got hammered in some areas but not others.
