Guest guest
: There have been a handful of parents who have been told their child's sutures were open, only to find that one (or more) were fused. Yes, it does happen. As far as improvement with the helmet goes, you MAY see some correction in areas where a fused suture is not involved, but if a suture IS fused, there will be no correction in that area, and in fact the deformity may even worsen. Was there a CT scan done? This is the best way to find out for sure if there is any suture fusion. Also make sure that the scans are read by a pediatric specialist (I'm assuming Dr. Blecher is??) and not just looked over by the radiologist.
