Guest guest
Here are some recommendations that the Diagnostic Prescriptive Teacher recommended in her report: 1.. use a number line for her to learn to count above 15 (sometimes can be a problem) 2.. encourage the student to have someone read aloud to her. have specific questions for her to answer about what she has read 3.. use flash cards for the student to learn to identify animals that she should be familiar with (i dont know what the heck this is all about) 4.. use a word wall for the student to learn basic sight words 5.. work with the student on pre-reading skills. a language program may assist the student 6.. utilize recorded books and materials 7.. provide computer programs that focus on reading and math 8.. provide repetition of new concepts to be learned. move slowly to new concepts 9.. give the student three numbers and have her choose which number is closer to the main number that is given 10.. provide objects on a page and teach the student the concept of 'more' and have her decide which side of objects have more 11.. give the student verbal commands to point to words with picture clues 12.. play a game with the student in which the examiner counts out objects and covers them and the student must demonstrate the same number 13.. give the student math application problems that are read orally to her. use both items that have and do not have picture clues 14.. provide simple directions that the student must follow. start out with simple directions an move to more difficult 15.. have stories that the student should be familiar. go over the stories with the student 16.. work with the student on paying attention decrease her activity during instruction time. short breaks must be used. ~Angie~ May God Bless You As He Has Us ~~DREAM BIG~~ An extra little chromosome, that's all it is, you see.
