Dear all,

is doing okay in school now. However, she has scarring on her face

from the injury she sustained a month ago. I am going to try Mederma, I guess,

to see if I can make some headway on fading the scars. The little boy is still

in the classroom and is still acting out with the same behaviors as before. I'm

am not aware of what they are doing differently with him, because we are not

allowed to be let in on the measures they are taking with him. I just know it

seems as though, right now, it is the same. Dr. Riffel

(www.behaviordoctor.org) is supposed to be hired be the school district to step

in and evaluate this classroom and this little boy. It is spring break right

now so I hope to see some action after we return. I did sign paperwork for an

assistive tech. team to come from Oklahoma City to do evaluations on .

They are supposed to be evaluating the little boy too. We are hoping that we

are able to move to another

classroom for '08-'09 school year. One that will be more her speed as far as

her skill/cognition level goes. I think a lot of times, people fail to see what

a child can do. They just turn straight to the wheelchair and make an

assumption based on the chair. NOT HERE! I am sure that some of you have seen

that quite often.

As far as 's mobility goes, today her awesom PT put her in a

harnessing system and suspended her from a metal frame thing (don't know what

the name of it was). She had walking around the floor for a few minutes

and then suspended her over a treadmill and lowered her so she could walk. For

those that don't know, is still recovering from bilateral derotation

osteotomies (hip surgery) with heel cord releases. She has been in SPICA casts

for so long that it has really done a number on her muscles. We were clapping

so hard today at therapy. Did you hear us? It was a big day. Thank you for

all continuing to pray for . ALSO, I finally am getting an LPN. She

started today and will be relieving me some in the care of . I have a 2

almost 3 year old too. I am struggling to stay awake today!!
