Guest guest
- Hi. I sympathize with you. My , who is almost 15 months, recently had the same problem. It was so bad that at one point, his poop was so hard that his diaper had blood in it. Yikes! Well, I made the mistake of giving him prune juice, which, if done right, works...but I gave him like eight ounces at once, and he had a major blowout...you don't want to know. I read on Babycenter that if you want to try prune juice, only use two ounces and dilute with two ounces of water. This should give you good results without the catastrophe we experienced. I also have changed 's diet a little bit with good results. I realized he was drinking too much whole milk throughout the day, (they only need 16 ounces daily) and am trying to give him more fruits and vegetables. Too much dairy and not enough fiber like bread or crackers can bind them up. Broccoli is a good veggie for poopy problems. has gotten a lot better, but I know what you mean. He was screaming in agony every time he had to go and I felt so bad. I have read that it is normal at 14-15 months to have those problems because their little intestinal track is still adjusting to all the normal non-baby foods we may be feeding them by now. I have also noticed he will go after drinking apple juice...also water is another great way....hope this helps. 's just finally getting a little better from this. Hope little Tucker gets over this soon. It's no fun for baby or mom, that's for sure : ) Kellie, mom of Tacoma, WA

Guest guest
, I second Kendra's response --- RAISINS, RAISINS, RAISINS!!!!!! had only one bout of constipation and that was very early on (at that time our ped. told us to do the Vaseline on the thermometer thing and then bicycle his legs -- and it definitely worked!!) Since then he has never had any trouble -- he eats just about everything!! He esp. loves raisins, and the like him so to speak!!!!! He he he!!!!!! Guest guest
Kern's All Nectar Pear Juice works wonders. Also, pears, peaches and prunes are great along with plenty of fluids. potty problems someone please help..tucker (15 1/2 months) has a very hard time going poopy...it is very hard and they are like small pebbles..the dr...(same as doc band) says that it should correct itself and not to worry about it..he says tucker caint control the poop and their is nothing we can do..when he tries to go..he screams in agony and you can tell it hurts him..he is a regular boy..once a day..but it is so hard and its hard for him to go..any suggestions....home remedies!! brenda mom of tuckerFor more plagio info
