Guest guest
Hi all, I have my daughter's 4th grade IEP meeting this Thursday, and I'm looking for any and all advice!! She's my oldest, so I don't have any previous experience in 4th grade (other than when I attended too many years ago to count!). I just found out the other day that we are losing our special ed teacher of two years as well, which disappoints me greatly, so I know the transition will be extra difficult. I am going to try my best to keep her aide, whom I also really like. I've heard 4th grade is pretty hard, and one thing in particular that her special ed teacher wants to try and help her with is working in a small group (within the regular ed classroom) for science and social studies. Any ideas??? How can they modify the work so that Shelby can participate easier?? What can I do to help her with these subjects? Any positive advice would be great!
