Guest guest
Hi, Ana, I was looking back through the posts for those who said their kids had just gotten bands/helmets last week. My son Philip got his helmet (locally made) last Friday, too! He's doing great with adjusting to it. His head is a little stinky, but I'm looking for new shampoo. . . How often does CT do follow-ups? Have you been back yet? We are supposted to go back next week, but I kind of think that is too long and may ask them to squeeze us in this Friday. Hope Jace is adjusting to it well! (And, by the way, Jace is a great name.) > > Hi, everyone! > > > > Thanks to all who offered advice and reassurance about my son's > > tendency to sweat profusely in his new helmet. I'll be trying that this weekend. Aww shucks, I can't take the credit for that one- I think that was Marci But I can chime in and say, yes, the tilt is often a comfort zone. You may have read that was tilted last week (he also just got over tonsilitis)- and now the little guy is straight again- always throwing mommy a curve ball! I am still working with him just in case! Guest guest
Hi ! Jace doesn't seem to be bothered by it either. But he is tilting his head more to the right. I have read, that children with tort may regress a little, for comfort. But we stretch everyday. Hopefully, it will get better. I'm so glad that Philip is doing well in his. It's stressful enough for us. I couldn't imagine how I would feel if Jace hated it! I know what you mean about stinky head. let me know that maybe some of the Loreal shampoos with the different scents may help. I'll be trying that this weekend. We have follow-ups with CT weekly. I already went in on Monday because I felt it was riding a little too low. They agreed and shaved it a little. Now it's perfect. We go back on Friday for our regular appointment. I can't wait for progress!! Call if you feel you need to go in again. It worth it for peace of mind.
