Paige:

It is very rare for Cranial Tech to say it's ok for a child just to

sleep in the band. In my 1.5 yrs in the group, I haven't heard of it

very often & when I have heard of it, it's been with a STARband or a

locally made helmet. I don't wanna bum you out! Sorry.

How is doing in his band? Seen improvement?

wearing only. Is that common? That would be so great!

Paige:

The DOC Band is worn 23 hours a day until the child is finished with

treatment. The DOC Band is redirecting growth of the brain. Since the

brain/skull is growing 24 hours a day it is essential that the band

be worn the 23 hours. If it is continually removed during the

daytime, the head will grow and we not only miss an opportunity to

direct that growth, but the pressures that were built into the band

will not be as direct thereby removing the effectiveness of the

pressures.

I am only speaking for the DOC Band as different products have

different protocols. Each family needs to listen to their clinician

to get the best results with each specific product.
