Guest guest
Hi everyone, and I about froze ourselves at Special Olympics in Joplin on Friday. It was 45 degrees with a cold northwest wind. He was in three layers of clothes, as was I, but it did not help! Over the years, we have froze at Stadium and also been scorched. Last year, we all came home with bad sunburns. That's is how Missouri weather is, just a few days ago it was 80. Just a few days before that, we had light snow, and a few days before that a big thunderstorm. Enough about weather. got a gold medal, a bronze medal, and a white ribbon for the standing long jump, the 100 meter run, and the softball throw. I thought at first he had received two golds but looking closer (without my $400 glasses), one of the medals is bronze. LOL. This is Special Olympic time around the country, so all of you athletes and parents of athletes have fun and hope for good weather. Remember one of the duties of parenthood is to freeze yourself (and watch your child freeze) while they throw balls, jump in the air, and run. Have a nice weekend.
