Guest guest
Hi . We did when Alden was younger. Many hospitalizations and lung collapse a few times. We have an ENT/Pulmonologist/Allergist beside his Cardiologist and Feeding Specialists due to his bouts of pneumonia. He has been doing much better with inhalers and allergy medications. My girls are getting allergy shots now (ages 12 and 10) and they have improved a great deal with upper respiratory infections. Alden is only 6 and the allergist will test him for specifics this summer. He will eventually do allergy shots, more than likely, but we do not want to make it traumatic, so the allergist and I will determine if and when to begin. Two years ago, when the girls started, we did not even want to test Alden because it can be scary and painful. Since he began doing well with our protocol, we are playing it by ear. If I notice an upper respiratory infection coming on, we immediately begin nebulizer treatments. The routine and medications we have been doing have certainly kept him out of the hospital lately. Thank goodness!
