- When Grace first received her helmet she had trouble sweating in it the first few days but then it gradually got better as her head grew accustomed to it. I know that others have had sweating for longer but that it gradually eases up. I use Baby Gold Bond powder and have found that does not cause such a goopy mess. It is just a suggestion. We used the cornstarch at first too but switched and we having been using the baby gold bond ever since. Good luck to you, while I am sure that you wish things would have been addressed sooner with the head shape etc it is so great that your child is now in the helmet and the ball is rolling in the right direction!! :) and Grace

Just a reminder to make sure you ask your own clinician/doctor/orthotist before using anything new inside the bands/helmets.
