Guest guest
Oh, gosh, , I love the seminars! I just wasn't planning on going but now as I read over the sheet I think maybe I should :-) Cristi Re: Re: Convention Cristi, You don't like some of the seminars? I know we're only thinking of going for one day this year instead of 2 days like in the past.

Guest guest
Greetings All, First I want to thank everyone for the sincere letters I received recently. I didn't post about personal troubles for sympathy but the response from this group was inspiring. Everyone is so positive. and I are just finishing up at the NDSC Convention in Boston. I did meet up and talk with Nadine Briggs but never did see Sharon and Alyssa. I was hoping and Alyssa could get together. Anyhow, the conference was great. I am always so inspired by the family reunion atmosphere. absolutely loved it. They had over 270 attend the adolescent/Adult Conference this year and regrettably had to turn away applications. One of the best presenters I have heard in a long time was JoAnne Simons. It is so refreshing to hear and acknowledge that not all of our kids are " superstars " . I am in awe listening to some of the young adults but also a little discouraged that is no where near that level. At the same time I rejoice in everything she is and can do. She graduated this year and has worked the past 3 summers and went to prom and homecoming and earned a varsity letter and, well I think you get the picture. One thing that surprises me is that even the kids that articulate themselves so well and earned a " full academic " diploma (which means different things in different states), the young adults are not working or are not working full-time. I have a hard time understanding all of that. I want to work as much as she can and if that means she doesn't get her SSDI, that is okay. She will need Medicaid and the waiver because she will always need support and will not be able to live alone. But she can work. I think community service is important but volunteering for " free labor " is a different thing. Sorry about the soapbox. I loved seeing all of the people and the little babies are the cutes. The presenters were great. And I am planning to go to Sacramento!!! Kathy
Guest guest
and colleagues, Sounds like everyone had a wonderful time a the Oregon Chiropractic Association's First Annual Convention! Though my trip to Washington DC was extremely successful as per lobbying our Congressmen and Senators I wish I would have been back home for this very historic event.... Berry, berry, cool, Vern convention This was the BEST convention/seminar that any state organization or school has put on in my 17 years of practice. Next year 400 doctors. You gals and guys are GREAT! Please pass this on to all others that were involved. There is nothing that we can't do if we stay true to our mission and the purpose of this new organization. Guest guest
Dear Colleagues, Congratulations to the Ferrante’s and everyone else who had a hand in producing the 2009 OCA Convention, and to all who finally brought us together into a unified organization. This was the greatest Oregon DCs convention ever, in my humble opinion! For any of you who didn’t make it, be sure to buy the videos!!! Dan was absolutely stellar in his keynote presentation and the information he put together into usable form on pro/anti-inflammatory nutrition is critical to every chiropractors practice – not to mention personal life. Fan-friggin’-tastic!!! I’ve heard Dan was a great presenter but he absolutely exceeded expectations. Also great to see Tyrone and his excellent presentation on cervical soft tissue MRI interpretation (how come Tyrone never looks any older than he did in school 35 years ago???) Heidi had some excellent office management advice, too. Thanks again to all who made this great event possible. Sure feels like the profession has some momentum now. Too bad you couldn’t have been there Vern to hear all the praise of your legislative efforts – but maybe better you weren’t there. We don’t want you getting a big head.
