They go no samples. I guess I am allergic to the iodine contrast? More likely the perforated one of your veins on right trying to find the a R adrenal vein and the contrast extravasated around the adrenal. Sometimes this will kill the adenoma and produce a cure. I am still sore kidney wise. The whole experience put me in bed for a week sick as a dog. They gave me a keg full of ACTH as well and the pain meds and sedation didnt work. What I am wondering what are the special ways to measure what the adenoma on my left adrenal is producing as mentioned below? Yes they measure the aldo and cortisol in blood coming out of the left adrenal vein and compare it to the right one....If the AVS was successful. Sounds like yours was not. I forget where was your study done? ita

If there is I wonder if samples from the bottom of R L kidneys through urine would reveal any thing.. Of course under the influnce of some ATCH. I have to find another way to get some answers from my adrenals besides AVS. ita The study was in Sacramento at Mercy San . On the left side the adrenal vein almost always comes off the left renal artery and is large. There are generally several on the right and only about 50% of the time can most get the right side. I have know 2 radiologist who were excellent at this and 4 times more that could not seem to master it. One wants someone who has done many of these. A guy in Australia has done over 600 and if I needed it I think I would fly down there. The bill here can be up to $37,000 and then they are more likely to be not be good ones. Worth it to fly to someone who has the hands. May your pressure be low! C.E.
